The Lizard Laughed is based on a graphic novel written by Noah Von Scriver. The director and I chose the Lomo Round Front Anamorphics on this project. We found they give the visuals a strong, visceral aesthetic that remains dreamlike, bringing a sentimental and nostalgic feel to the imagery.
The Lizard Laughed has been accepted into competition in the 2022 Palm Springs Short Film Festival, the Florida Film Festival, and the LA Shorts International Film Festival.
